Mano Negra Brewing Co. is Lubbock’s first and only Latino-owned nano brewery, now proudly serving up drinks at 708 13th St, Downtown Lubbock! Our mission? To craft bold, refreshing beverages that honor the spirit of Puerto Rican culture and bring the island’s flavors right here to Lubbock. From our signature craft sodas to delicious Sangrias, mocktails, wines, and handcrafted brews, we’ve got something for everyone—and we’re here to share it all with you!

Our journey started back in 2014, when Daniel Badillo, our founder and brewmaster, and his family moved from Puerto Rico to Lubbock. Daniel always had dreams of entrepreneurship, but it wasn’t until his wife gifted him a homebrew kit for Christmas that his true passion for brewing was born. That simple gift set in motion a journey that would blend his Puerto Rican roots with the creativity of craft brewing.

In 2017, Daniel decided it was time to make that dream a reality. He took the leap with his signature craft sodas, first selling them at the Downtown Lubbock Farmers Market, where we made our first mark on the community. But in 2019, as the love for our beverages grew, we made the move to the Wolfforth Farmers Market, where we continued to grow, connect with our community, and perfect our drinks. The Farmer's Market was where we truly found our rhythm, building relationships and laying the foundation for what would eventually become Mano Negra Brewing Co.

Fast forward to 2021, when Daniel took the leap and left his 9-5 job to pursue Mano Negra full-time, and we officially opened our brewery. But we didn’t stop there. In 2025, after outgrowing our original space, we knew it was time to take the next step. That’s when we made the exciting move to 708 13th St, Downtown Lubbock. Our new location means more space, more drinks, and more ways to bring our Puerto Rican-inspired craft sodas, Sangrias, mocktails, wines, and brews to even more people. Now, we can welcome you into a space that reflects the heart of our journey—one where every drink tells a story, and every sip takes you a little closer to Puerto Rico.

Though we’ve moved to a bigger, bolder space, we’ll always honor our roots. You can still find us every Saturday at the Wolfforth Farmers Market, where it all started, pouring the same refreshing craft sodas that got us here. It’s a reminder of where we came from and how far we’ve come.
